Active Response

 

"How do I set up a Rule in a sequence to stop someone from hitting a future step?"

 

"If it is step 3 of 50, will the rule fire even if the sequence is on step 12 (has passed it)?"

No. Rules in sequences fire ONLY at the moment they're set to fire, and only once. That is what separates them from Active Response rules, which are of course, always watching, always waiting and always ready to fire when a contact meets their criteria/conditions. So if you're looking to get a rule to fire no matter WHEN a contact meets the criteria/conditions you should use an Active Response rule.

 

Will our rule (in our sequence) at step 12 fire if a condition is met in step 1?

As long as the contact currently meets the condition(s) of the rule when they hit that step in the sequence it will fire. If not, it will do nothing.

"Can I set up more than one 'From' Email Address?"

Yep. You can send from as many as you'd like. Go crazy.

 

"I setup my email "FROM" address but some of my clients are still seeing my emails as coming from "info@moon-ray.com" what gives?"

I'm going to go ahead and guess that your client's who are seeing this are using Outlook, Hotmail, or Windows Live . If that's the case then the explanation is that quite simply that those providers show what's called the "true sender". Emails sent from your OfficeAutopilot system (unless you have a private IP) are ACTUALLY being sent from that address, info@moon-ray.com, however by using the "FROM" address setup you're able to mask that a bit, but Outlook shows our address because it's the true-sender regardless.

 

"I send over the 100,000 message limit per month allotted for OAP and I don't want to be put on a private IP, what are my options?"

We have a high volume email plan for users sending 500,000+ emails a month. We can add a subscription to 500,000 messages for $399 a  month, billed at the beginning of the month. That's 20% discount over the other non subscription option which is $99 for 100,000 messages added on to your billed on the 16th of each month.

 

"Is it better to mail from me@hotmail.com or me@mybussiness.com?"

You will receive better client recognition and thus higher open and delivery rates when mailing from me@mydomain.com.

 

Affiliates

 

"How Do I Import My Current List Of Affiliates?"

  1. Export your list from whatever inferior system you were using before, you don't need it anymore.
  2. Import your list into the new, superior system, and make sure you tag them with something so that you can group them later (With a tag titled "Affiliate" for example).
  3. Make a group for the newly imported contacts (contact tags<contains<affiliates, for example)
  4. Make a new step sequence, with one "rule step" set to fire immediately, and set the rule to 'change [Membership Level] to [Whatever level you want this group of contacts at]' (NOTE: Make sure that this is the membership level that corresponds to the right wordpress site)
  5. It also might be a good idea to make the sequence set to 'unsubscribe contacts after last step' unless there's a reason you want to keep them on it.
  6. Go ahead and go back to the contacts tab and select the group that you want to subscribe, then do a group action for 'subscribe contacts to [Newly created sequence]'.
  7. Now you'll need to get them their login information, so you'll want to send them all an email that has the merge field for E-Mail and Password, make sure it is for the correct website. (NOTE: If you 'require approval of all new affiliates, then you'll need to first approve the affiliates before moving to the next step).
  8. The Password merge field will come through to them as a link that says 'click here to set your password' and once they do that, they're all set.

 

"When are commissions paid?"

We shoot to pay commissions by the 5th of each month for the preceding month's charges.

 

"Where can I get a link or a banner to promote?"

You can create the link or banner within OfficeAutopilot. First go to the Affiliate Tab, Then create it in the Promo tools section on the left. Once saved, It will appear in the Promo tools section of the affiliate page of your wordpress site.

 

"Where can I see how much traffic I've sent or how many sales I've made?"

Affiliates can track their referrals within their affiliate center in your wordpress site. You can track affiliate referrals by creating groups with criteria based on either the "First Referrer" field or the "Last Referrer" field.

 

"Can I sign up for my own account with my affiliate link and get a discount?"

No, that's cheating.

"Can I somehow transfer my content into my referrals' accounts?"

Not as an affiliate. We do offer sophisticated content publishing to our Reseller Partners, however. Inquire at partner@OfficeAutopilot.com.
