FedEx Integration
With Office Autopilot you're able to setup an integration with FedEx in order to automatically generate Shipping labels so that shipping physical products to your clients is as easy as printing the label, slapping it on a box, and sending it out. Below are the steps you'll need to follow in order to get this integration setup.
Note: You'll need to have a FedEx account setup before starting this process, sign up for one at www.fedex.com
- Log in to your FedEx account and navigate to: Fedex Office > Business Resource Center > click View Solution Center button > Click Business Solutions > click Open an Account or Request Assistance > click Apply for a Fedex Office Account online > sign up. It will take 2-3 business days to be approved.
- Once approved, go to www.fedex.com/developer/
- On the left side of the page, click Technical Resources.
- Then click "FedEx Web Services for Shipping".
- Then click "Develop & Test Your Application".
- Click "Obtain Developer Test Key"
- Fill out the form for contact information
- Accept the License Authorization.
- Save the info for your reference, you will have a Developer Test Key, Test Account Number, Test Meter Number.
- Now log in to your Office Autopilot account
- Click on Sales Tab
- Click Setup
- Click Shipping Defaults
- For "Enable Debug Mode for All Carrier", select Yes.
- Fill out the rest of the fields on this page and click Save.
- Over in the list of options at left, click Shipping > Fedex Setup
- Fill out these fields with the information you received in Fedex (Developer Password will be emailed to you from Fedex)
- Press Save. This should trigger a Test.
- If successful you will see the message "Your shipping settings were successfully saved."
- Go back to your FedEx account to make a live key!
- Once you've completed a successful test you'll want to go back to your FedEx developer account and navigate to: www.fedex.com/developer/ > Technical Resources > FedEx Web Services for Shipping > Move to Production > Obtain Production Key
- Fill out the form and hit continue.
- Make a note of the Dev Key, Dev Password, Account number and Meter numbers.
- These should also be e-mailed to you from Fedex.
- Take the newly emailed information and place it in the fields from step 17.
- Once it is successfully saved you will be able to generate Fedex Rates as well as packing slips and shipping labels.
- Note: Should the test fail on step 17 you should be prompted with an error message. This usually happens because some information was entered incorrectly. This test requires absolute accuracy in all the info you enter, so double check your information and re-submit the test. If it's still not working then go ahead and give our support team a call and we'll be glad to help you out!

NOTE: You may need to become UPS certified. We are currently working as a company to get this process going so in the future you won't have to be certified.
After completing these steps, UPS should send you an email with the following:
UPS requires that customers pass a Certification process prior to shipping actual (billable) packages. The Certification Process is as follows:
1. Ship five shipments in the Customer Integration Environment (CIE). These shipments must be valid shipments but may contain any combination of origins, destinations and services. At least one of these tests must produce a High Value Report by including a shipment with an InsuredValue greater than $999.
2. Void any four of the UPS-defined “Void” test cases in CIE.
3. If you are producing GIF images, please e-mail the following 39 files along with your UPS User ID and Access key to uoltects@ups.com:
• The requests and responses of the ShipConfirm and ShipAccept XML documents from all five shipments (20 files).
• The resulting GIF images of the label from all five shipments (5 files).
• The resulting HTML images of the High Value Report (Control Log) for at least one shipment (1 file).
• The HTML pages containing the scaling information for the label from all five shipments (5 files).
• The requests and responses of all the Void XML documents (8 files).
4. If you are printing labels via a Thermal Printer, the labels must be sent to UPS. Please send an email with your pickup address to labelverify@ups.com requesting a label via a provided label from the UPS Developer APIs support group. Include a High Value Report (Control Log) for at least one shipment with the thermal labels. The High Value Report will be returned to you in the same printer format, zpl, epl, etc., as the labels. Email the following 28 files along with your UPS User ID and Access Key to uoltects@ups.com:
• The requests and responses of the ShipConfirm and ShipAccept XML documents from all five shipments (20 files).
• The requests and responses of all the Void XML documents (8 files).
5. UPS will contact you via email within 2 business days to inform you of your approval status. Once granted, point your software to the following Production URL's,
https://onlinetools.ups.com/ups.app/xml/ShipConfirm
https://onlinetools.ups.com/ups.app/xml/ShipAccept
Note: UPS reserves the right to revoke shipping privileges from any customers who fail to abide by the Certification Requirements outlined above.
The above information is found in the PDF Documentation for the XML Shipping API in section 1.12, “Customer Integration Environment.”
If you have developed the Shipping API with Web Services, you will need to provide the following information:
For single stage certification, you will need to provide the following files, all with XML file extensions:
