 KickStart Campaigns: Bounced without Buying

Overview of Campaign

You drive people to your order page.  Some of them complete the form and thus make the purchase (and God bless 'em for it, too), while others of them leave before buying (they bounce).  Something happened. They got anxious, had second thoughts, the phone rang, whatever. This campaign works to follow up with them and get 'em to buy afterward.

Here's how it works:

  1. As soon as people arrive at the order page, they get subscribed to the sequence "Bounced without Buying" follow up.
  2. If they buy, a rule removes them from the sequence before they ever get anything.
  3. If not, they get an e-mail asking 'em what happened, handles their objections, and offers them a discount if they buy now after all. A task step then gets fired

What you get

  • A Landing Page to be used, optionally as the order page : "Sample Order Page"
  • A Step Sequence ("Bounced without Buying follow up")
  • 2 Active Response Rules: "Sub 'em to the "Bounced without buying sequence" and "If they buy, remove 'em from "Bounced without buying" follow up sequence"

What you need to do

  1. If your account did not come with this campaign, you will first need to install it. Package code: WmQA2VqLw496vTw
  2. Create the product and order form for the product you'll be selling.
  3. Place the Order Form onto the landing page (you can use the landing page provided, or place the form onto whatever other tracked page you like).
  4. If you chose to use the landing page provided, set the hosting.
  5. If you chose to use a different page, change the rule ("Sub 'em to the "Bounced without buying sequence") to reflect the new page (since it's currently set to trigger when people visit the "Sample Order Page" landing page that is included in this campaign).
  6. Change the trigger for the rule:  "If they buy, remove 'em from "Bounced without buying" follow up sequence", to be whatever product you intend.  It's currently set to 'ANY' in the rule, so you need to change it. You could also set this rule up right when you're creating the order form so that it unsubscribes them from the sequence when the person fills out the form and the transaction is succesful. In that case you can simply delete the rule called.
  7. Customize your sequence to your liking so that the e-mail reads however you like, including handling whatever objections they may have, and even linking 'em to a new, less expensive offer.

Minimum Account Level Needed To use This Campaign: OfficeAutopilot

How long this will take: 15 Minutes (not including product and order form creation, since they're not actually a part of implementing this campaign)

The Sequence: "Event Reg: Thanks for Attending!" Step Sequence"

FAQs

Some questions we've heard...

Why are these instructions so long and involved? I thought this was supposed to be done-for-me...

Great question! There's some necessary customizing and putting-together-of-pieces that must happen in order for the campaign to actually reflect YOUR business, your offers, and work in the way that you want. While this may seem like a lot, given it could take you a couple of hours to fully customize and "trick out" your version of this campaign (though it could take as little as 30 minutes), it would take you many many hours, not to mention design skills (or outsourcing), copywriting skills, and so fourth to create something of this depth and caliber from scratch. Or, if you're like a great many small business owners, it may never get done at all.
